Safety issue selalu menempel pada mobil Tata Nano ini, ya asalnya mungkin karena harganya murah, ukuran mobilnya kecil dan mungkin juga karena asalnya dari India.
Nano memang punya history yang kurang baik, mobil yang di India dijual seharga 20 jutaan ini mudah terbakar. Pernah dalam suatu jeda periode yang singkat ada 3 nano terbakar. Dari 3 mobil tersebut ketahuan ada penyebab yang sama pada 2 mobil yang terbakar, satu lagi nggak ketahuan kenapa. Penyebabnya karena ada “faulty switch” yang konon sudah di betulkan pada nano keluaran selanjutnya.
